Love Yourself and Life Becomes a Party

Self-care is necessary; you know that they tell you to put your own oxygen mask on first because you can not take care of others if you don’t take care of yourself first. Make time care for yourself so you are more refreshed and ready to take on the things that life throws at you.

When you take care of yourself you are sending out positive vibes to the universe that you love yourself enough to treat yourself well, which in turn, tells the world around you that you deserve more incredible and amazing things to come into your life.

Also, when you are taking care of yourself you are showing other people that you value yourself enough to invest in yourself, showing them the importance of investing in themselves. Making happiness and positive energy flow all around us.

I made a cute self-care idea guide that you can download!

Taking some time out of your day to do something you love just for you and for no one else is vital. It is also important to think about the things in your day that bring you down, stress you out or suck at your soul. How can you make them more enjoyable? Or outsource them? In my house, I hated folding and putting away the laundry. I was great at getting it washed but then I would take it out of the dryer and there it would sit on the laundry room table or on the couch. Everyone else would walk on by or sit on it!?

So a few years ago when my boys were 4 and 6, I decided they needed to take over the laundry. I know this might sound insane and it wasn’t easy (tears were shed by all) but it isn’t crazy. First of all, they were plenty capable and I believe that children need to be responsible for a lot more than our society generally gives them these days. I had to let go of “my way” and know that done is better than perfect.  When I do the laundry now, I am happy to do it and put it away and show my boys I appreciate their hard work and responsibility. I also know I am so much happier knowing that I have taught my boys to be responsible and self-reliable. I was able to take a giant sucking thing and turn it into something I am proud of.

What things in your life do you know are robbing you of your happiness and energy? But, you're too uptight about letting go of doing it “your way.” Or the thought of training someone else to do it scares you? If you don’t push past what is uncomfortable nothing will ever change. You deserve to be happy and energetic it is your duty to be the best version of yourself you can be. So pick something that isn’t reflecting the best you, and let it go, or say no thank you or make it someone else job.
